Not ideal for
✕Young professionals just starting out
If you’re still building up your savings and haven’t hit S$250,000 in assets, Citigold may be premature.

FAQ
Citigold is for customers with at least S$250,000 in assets under management (AUM) with Citibank Singapore, up to S$1.5 million. Your AUM is measured as your Total Relationship Balance, which includes your deposits, investments and insurance held with Citi. Above S$1.5 million, you qualify for Citigold Private Client.
A monthly account service fee of S$15 applies if your Total Relationship Balance falls below S$15,000 at the end of the month. Most Citigold clients keep balances well above this, so the fee rarely applies. Other charges, such as overseas telegraphic transfers, may apply. Check Citi's latest fee schedule for details.
You won't be charged a penalty fee, but you may lose some Citigold benefits. The biggest change is to bonus interest on your Citi Wealth First Account: it drops from the first S$250,000 of your balance to the first S$50,000. Citi may also move you to a different service tier.
No. As a Citigold client, you earn bonus interest on the first S$250,000 of your Citi Wealth First Account balance, and only for the categories you qualify for each month (salary, spend, save, invest, insure or borrow). Balances above S$250,000 earn the base rate of 0.01% p.a.
Citigold is a wealth management relationship: you get a dedicated Relationship Manager, preferential rates and access to a wider range of investments. Citi Wealth First is a savings account that pays bonus interest. Many Citigold clients hold both, using Citigold for advice and investing, and Wealth First to earn more on their cash.
No. You only need to meet the S$250,000 AUM requirement. Becoming an Accredited Investor is optional. It gives you access to a wider range of investment products, but comes with fewer regulatory protections than retail investors get. Your Relationship Manager can walk you through the sign-up process and whether it suits you.
Yes. With Citibank Global Wallet, you pay no foreign transaction or currency conversion fees in over 150 currencies when you use your Citigold Debit Mastercard. You can also hold Singapore dollars and up to 14 foreign currencies in a Citi Foreign Currency Account.
Singapore dollar deposits are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC) for up to S$100,000 per depositor, per bank. Foreign currency deposits, structured deposits and investment products are not insured.
Yes. Joint Citigold accounts are allowed, and the combined assets of both account holders count towards the S$250,000 requirement.
Citigold doesn't manage CPF money directly. However, your Relationship Manager can advise on investing your CPF Ordinary Account savings through the CPF Investment Scheme (CPFIS).
Yes. Citigold status is recognised at Citibank branches in over 30 countries. You can also make instant, fee-free transfers between your Citibank accounts worldwide.
Citigold is a good fit if you have S$250,000 or more to place with one bank and want a dedicated Relationship Manager, wider investment access and strong global banking perks. It's less worthwhile if you prefer managing your own investments through low-cost brokerages, or if your balance is likely to fall below S$250,000, since that's where most of the benefits cut off.
Until 31 Oct 2026, Citigold members can get up to 2.00% p.a. on 6-month SGD fixed deposits and up to 4.50% p.a. on 6-month USD fixed deposits, for new funds from S$250,000 or US$200,000. 3-month rates are 1.40% p.a. (SGD) and 4.00% p.a. (USD). T&Cs apply.
