Which Credit Cards Allow for the Sharing of Lounge Visits?
Updated: 22 Aug 2025
While it’s fairly easy to get a credit card with complimentary airport lounge access in Singapore, not everyone will be in a position to do so. Maybe you’re travelling with a young child or a retiree, or just with someone who — gasp — uses cashback cards.
In those situations, you might be wondering whether your credit card allows you to share lounge visits with companions. Unfortunately, it’s complicated. Some credit cards have no issues with sharing visits, but others stipulate that lounge visits can only be used by the cardholder themselves.

Which credit cards allow for the sharing of lounge visits?
There are two possible scenarios when it comes to sharing lounge visits:
-
You have a credit card that offers a limited number of visits
-
You have a credit card that offers an unlimited number of visits
If your card has a limited number of visits, then it may be possible to share them with a guest. The table below summarises which cards do and do not permit the sharing of lounge visits.

For example, if a card permits you to share lounge visits and you have an allowance of four, then a couple could visit the lounge twice, and a family of four could visit the lounge once.
It’s also worth noting that some credit cards offer the first year free (denoted by FYF in the table), while others require you to pay the first year’s annual fee. However, if you manage to get a fee waiver in subsequent years, you will still receive a fresh allocation of lounge visits.
Finally, do note how the allowances are tracked. Some cards follow the calendar year, which means that lounge visits are valid from 1 January to 31 December. Others follow the membership year, which varies from person to person and depends on when your lounge membership was approved. Either way, unused lounge visits will not be carried forward, so be sure to use them before they expire.
Alternatively, if you have a priority banking relationship with the following banks, you can also apply for the following credit cards with airport lounge privileges. Do note that you must earn at least S$30,000 a year to qualify for a credit card, per MAS requirements.

If your credit card offers an unlimited number of visits, then the question is whether it has a guest allowance. The table below summarises the possibilities.

*From 1 July 2025, the Citi Prestige Card will cut lounge visits to 12 per year (shareable with guests), and increase its annual fee to S$651.82 |
There are only three cards which allow you to bring a guest each time you visit the lounge: AMEX Platinum Charge, Citi Prestige (which will cut its lounge access benefit to 12 visits per year from 1 July 2025), and the UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card.
The Standard Chartered Beyond Card works a little differently. It offers an allowance of six guest visits per calendar year, which is shared among principal and supplementary cardholders.
Not just lounge visits!
Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass visits aren’t limited to just lounges; you can also utilise them for spa treatments, set meals, nap pods and capsule hotels at participating airport locations.
For example, Priority Pass members can redeem one lounge visit for a S$33.50 restaurant credit at Asian Street Kitchen and Tiger Den at Singapore Changi Airport. Even if you can’t share lounge visits with a guest, there’s nothing stopping you from spending that credit on F&B for two people (though given airport pricing, it’s questionable how far that will go!).
Conclusion
While many Singapore credit cards offer complimentary lounge access, the ability to share those visits with companions depends on the specific card terms. Cards with limited lounge visits are more likely to allow sharing, enabling you to extend the benefit to friends or family. In contrast, cards with unlimited visits often restrict access to the cardholder, unless a guest allowance is explicitly provided.
If you frequently travel with companions who lack lounge access of their own, be sure to choose a card that allows sharing. Also, don’t forget that lounge visits can also be used for food, spa treatments, or even airport hotels, offering more flexible value than you might expect.
