5 Christmas Turkeys or Dinners to Order for Under S$100

Host a fabulous Christmas dinner without breaking the bank! We found delicious Christmas meats and turkeys for under S$100.

There are no sleigh bells ringing or snow glistening, but the festive music in malls and glittering decor in Singapore are hints that Christmas is coming. This also means that shopping madness is just around the corner. Have you seen the throngs of people out on Christmas Eve?

Because we’re no fans of rushing or crowds, we’ve already done our Christmas shopping (well done, us). Unsurprisingly, we’ve found ourselves on a tighter budget for our Christmas dinners. You might be too, seeing as the average Singaporean spends S$900 on 10 gifts, according to a new survey by DataSpark.

As such, hunting for turkeys and meat for under S$100 is absolutely essential. So we’ve done the hard part comparing the prices of Christmas meats and turkeys in 2015 for you.

Now all you have to do is pick one of the following and make your order (you can thank us later):

1. Delifrance’s Roast Turkey: S$90.00

Delifrance Turkey

What it Consists Of:

Traditional roast turkey (5.4kg), chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce, chicken gravy

Why You Should Get It:

If you love turkey so much that you can’t get enough of it, this is the one for you. With all 5.4kg of turkey, Delifrance’s bird is more massive than the average turkeys on sale.

You can either choose the option of having it roasted (you’ll have to pay an extra S$30) or reheat it yourself (no charge for putting in your own blood, sweat and tears). Order 3 days in advance.

2. FairPrice’s Combo 3 Turkey Meal: S$79.90

NTUC FairPrice

What it Consists Of:

Traditional roast turkey (3.5kg to 4.5kg before roasting), honey baked ham (1kg), german pork knuckle (1.3kg before roasting), chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce, gourmet sauce, cooler bag

Why You Should Get It:

This combo gives you a good variety of meat (prepare to be satiated) for a fraction of what most delis would charge you. Generally, FairPrice’s Christmas catalogue doesn’t disappoint. The turkeys are air-flown from the USA and marinated for 12 hours.

All you have to do is reheat the meat–they’re chilled and packed for freshness–whip up some sides, and voilà, dinner is served. You can choose for your order to be delivered to your home or to collect it at a branch. Order 3 days in advance.

Ordering with the POSB Everyday Card also gets you a 3% cash rebate!

3. Cold Storage’s Dinner Deal Delicacy: S$79.99

Cold Storage

What it Consists Of:

Burger’s Smokehouse honey roasted turkey (3.6kg to 4.5kg before roasting), honey baked chicken ham (1kg), chestnut stuffing, brown sauce, cranberry and apple relish, 2 bottles of First Choice non-alcoholic sparkling juice (75cl), cooler bag

Why You Should Get It:

It might not have a pork knuckle like FairPrice’s, but you’ll be getting a turkey from one of America’s most famous mail order meat shops. Google Burger’s Smokehouse and you’ll only find raving reviews on its products.

As with Christmas feasts from supermarkets, you’ll have to reheat the meat and cook some sides. Order 4 days in advance.

4. Cafe Noel’s Chicken, Ham, Pork Knuckle and Vegetables: S$95.87

Cafe Noel

What it Consists Of:

Rosemary and lemon marinated whole roasted chicken (1.4kg), honey baked ham, crispy pork knuckle, roasted roots vegetables, pan gravy, port gravy, apple sauce, braised red cabbage, german potato salad, pork gravy
