Marina Bay Sands is a large integrated resort. It includes: 

• Three 55-storey hotel towers

• A casino

• A shopping mall called ‘The Shoppes’

• The Sands Expo & Convention Centre

• The Sands Theatre

• The ArtScience Museum

These venues share a common parking area – Marina Bay Sands Car Park.

MBS offers two parking options: Self-Parking and Valet Parking, each with distinct rates. Valet parking is nearly double the cost of self-parking. 

For non-hotel guests, the standard rates apply. However, if you are a hotel guest, you are eligible for a concession parking rate.

If you’re driving an electric or hybrid car, there are electric vehicle charging stations at The Shoppes level B3 Central Carpark, Parking Lots No. 305 to 317.

Valet parking is offered at the pick-up/drop-off points outside Hotel Tower 1 and Casino Driveway.

 

If you are a hotel guest of Marina Bay Sands, you’ll enjoy concession parking rates much lower than the public full rates.

Parking at Marina Bay Sands can be costly. But by signing up for their free Sands LifeStyle membership programme, you can enjoy parking privileges. 

Upon sign-up, you start at the ‘Lifestyle’ membership tier. Upon accumulating $5,000 in spending within 12 months at participating MBS outlets, you can upgrade to the 'Prestige' tier and access parking privileges for self-parking. 

Here are the parking privileges for each membership tier:

Lifestyle	No parking privileges. Instead, earn 20% Resort Dollars on public self-parking fees incurred. Note: Resort Dollars cannot be used for free parking or to offset parking charges but can be spent within Marina Bay Sands or used for membership tier upgrades.
Prestige	Redeem self-parking privilege using Resort Dollars. If you redeem via Marina Bay Sands Mobile App: $4 Resort Dollars per exit If you redeem via Sands LifeStyle Kiosk: $8 Resort Dollars per exit Pre-requisite: You must make same-calendar-day spending (no minimum amount) at any Shoppes outlet to be eligible for self-parking redemption.
Elite	Complimentary all-day self-parking privilege before midnight. Pre-requisite: Same-calendar-day spending at any Shoppes outlet with no minimum amount for eligibility.
Paiza	Complimentary all-day self-parking.

In summary, the higher your Sands LifeStyle membership tier, the better your parking redemption privileges, with complimentary self-parking for Elite and Paiza members.

Parking at Marina Bay Sands for long periods can be expensive if you are not eligible for free or discounted parking through their membership programme.

Luckily, there are some cheaper parking options nearby that can save you money on parking fees, even if you have to walk a bit farther.

We searched and found these alternative car parks within walking distance of MBS. 

• Gardens by the Bay Parking - This car park is about an 8-minute walk to MBS. Rates are S$0.035 per minute, which equals S$2.10 per hour.

• Marina Bay Open Carpark - This car park is a 12-minute walk to MBS. Rates are about S$2.00 per 30 minutes, or S$4.00 per hour.

Although not right next door, these nearby car parks can offer significant savings compared to Marina Bay Sands parking for longer stays. The extra walking required may be worth it to avoid paying top dollar at MBS lots.

Parking at Gardens by the Bay is cheaper than in MBS.

For example, the first hour of parking at MBS costs S$14.00. But based on Gardens by the Bay's rate of S$0.035 per minute, you could park there for 6 hours 40 minutes for the same S$14.00.
