1. Why should you choose the UOB Stash Account?
UOB Stash account holders earn up to 1% per annum on their account balance as long as they maintain a MAB above $10,000 or increase their MAB every month. The first $10,000 earns 0.05% interest per annum, next $40,000 earns 0.80% interest per annum and the next $50,000 earn 1% per annum. MAB threshold for bonus interest is $100,000 so any incremental balance above it will earn 0.05% per annum. Although there are many multiplier savings accounts in Singapore that offer higher interest rates, they require account holders to complete transactions such as monthly salary credits, bill payments or minimum spend on credit cards. If you are a student who has substantial savings but are not qualified to earn bonus interest from other savings accounts, the UOB Stash Account is your best option.
