One of the biggest draws of the HLAS CovidSafe Travel Protect360 is the high personal liability coverage of up to S$1,000,000. On top of that, they also offer up to S$500,000 coverage for medical expenses overseas and up to S$20,000 local medical expenses coverage.
For baggage loss, you can claim up to S$7,000, while delayed baggage will get you S$100 for every six hours up to S$1,200.

COVID-19 coverage |
If you were to contract COVID-19 overseas, your medical expenses are covered up to S$100,00, and you’ll also get a hospital cash benefit of S$100 per day up to S$2,000 if you need to be hospitalised because of COVID-19.
For the Superior and Enhanced plan, you’ll also get unlimited coverage for emergency evacuation and repatriation for urgent fatal illnesses. If your trip is cancelled or curtailed due to COVID-19, you’ll be reimbursed up to S$2,000 to compensate for any inconveniences and cancellation fees.
AIG Travel Guard® Direct

With up to S$2,500,000 coverage for overseas medical expenses, AIG Travel Guard® Direct’s coverage is one of the highest compared to the other travel insurance plans out there. They also offer up to $10,000 reimbursement if your baggage is lost, and unlimited emergency medical evacuation except for the Standard and Basic plan.

With AIG Travel Guard® Direct, you also won’t have to worry if you contract COVID-19. Aside from the mental stress of falling sick, you won’t be financially burdened as AIG provides up to S$250,000 coverage for COVID-19 medical expenses as well as an overseas quarantine allowance of up to S$100 a day.
They also cover up to S$7,500 if your trip is cancelled or if you have to return to Singapore early due to COVID-19.
FWD Travel Insurance

Offering up to S$1,000,000 overseas medical expenses coverage, FWD travel insurance’s coverage is decent but definitely not the highest in the market. If your personal belongings are stolen or damaged, you can claim up to S$7,500, and up to S$900 for any baggage delay.
You can also enjoy a seamless claim process as they offer cashless medical claims through their app.

Though COVID-19 is not covered in their insurance plans, you are able to get it as a rider add-on. You can claim up to S$200,000 for COVID-19 related medical expenses, and S$100 local or overseas hospitalisation cash per day for up to 14 days. They will also reimburse you up to S$5,000 for any trip cancellations due to the pandemic.
Do note that the COVID-19 rider coverage is the same regardless of which plan you opt for as your base plan.
Singlife Travel Insurance

If you opt for the Singlife Travel Prestige plan, you will be thrilled to know that there is unlimited overseas medical expenses coverage to safeguard yourself against hefty overseas medical bills. They also offer up to S$2,000,000 in personal liability coverage, making it one of the highest coverage on the list.

Do ensure that you’re fully vaccinated before the trip to qualify for this cover.
Singlife also recently rolled out their new rainfall protection that provides a payout of up to S$150 should your trip be affected by excessive rainfall. This is applicable only for single trips (minimum 3 days) where more than 50% of the trip duration is affected by rainfall levels of >6.4mm in a 24-hour period.
Starr Cruise To Nowhere Travel Insurance

If you’re planning on a cruise-to-nowhere trip, consider getting the Star Cruise To Nowhere Travel Insurance. They have a decent medical expenses coverage of S$1,000,000, as well as coverage against accidental death and disablement of up to S$500,000.

Sompo Travel (COVID-19) Insurance

Sompo Travel (COVID-19) insurance offers two plans — Essential and Superior plan that offers different levels of coverage.
For policies issued on or after 20 July 2022, full vaccination is not required if the traveller fulfils the destination country's requirements and are not in breach of any government regulations. Travellers will need to take a pre-departure COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test and test negative within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure date from Singapore.
You will be granted up to S$400,000 coverage for medical expenses, as well as up to S$500,000 accidental death or disablement coverage.
If your trip is cancelled or postponed, some of your money can be recovered as they will reimburse you up to S$10,000 for each person insured. Moreover, they also have a relatively high personal liability coverage of up to S$1,000,000.

COVID-19 coverage |
Thankfully, Sompo is offering COVID-19 coverage as well. If you get COVID-19, you will be covered up to S$200,000 for any medical expenses abroad, and any overseas quarantine or hospitalisation will get you an allowance of S$100 a day up to 14 days.
If your trip has to be cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19, you can get up to S$4,000 reimbursement. On top of that, you’ll also be covered up to S$200,000 worth of emergency evacuation and repatriation for COVID-19 if required.

The highest tier coverage gives you up to S$300,000 medical coverage for COVID-19 incurred overseas, as well as up to S$5,000 coverage for trip cancellation and loss of deposit. If your trip is postponed, you are insured up to S$1,500.
You'll also get a quarantine allowance of up to S$1,500, S$100 for every 24 hours and up to S$500,000 for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation to Singapore.
Tokio Marine TM Xplora Plus

Tokio Marine’s TM Xplora Plus features two tiers of travel insurance plans: Classic and Premier. Both plans offer well-rounded coverage with affordable premiums.
