Product summary
Emergency Medical Evacuation/ Repatriation
Benefit limit of $1,500,000 across all Plans.
Fraudulent Use of Credit Card
Direct Asia will pay the irrecoverable unauthorised charges for which you are made liable for if your credit card is lost or stolen whilst overseas on an insured trip.
Reluctance to Travel following an Act of Terrorism
Direct Asia will pay for any irrecoverable transport and accommodation expenses for which you have paid or are contracted to pay, if you decide to cancel, curtail or amend an insured trip following an act of terrorism within 50km of your booked accommodation.
Leisure Activities Cover
Your policy automatically covers you when you are participating in regular sports and activities. These include but are not limited to racquet and ball sports (e.g. tennis and basketball), golf, cycling, running, swimming, fishing, hot air ballooning, snorkelling, surfing, yachting and hiking without ropes or specialist equipment up to 1,500m in altitude.
Rental Car Excess
Direct Asia will cover the excess if you have an accident in a rental car during your trip.
Pet Hotel
If your cat or dog is in a kennel/cattery and your return trip is delayed, Direct Asia will pay for your cat or dog's additional accommodation fees that you become liable for.
Policy exclusions
The list of exclusions for this policy include the following:
- Pre-existing conditions (including emotional or psychiatric disorder/ conditions)
- Travelling when medically unfit/ Travelling against Medical Practitioner’s advice/ Travelling for purpose of seeking medical advice
- Childbirth/pregnancy-related complications
- Cosmetic treatment claims not classified as Medically Necessary
- Intoxication by alcohol/ non-prescribed drugs or medications
- Travelling against advice of regulatory authorities/ Travelling to a country at war
- Loss/ damages covered by other insurance
- An act of terrorism involving the use or release or threat thereof of any nuclear weapon or device or chemical, biological, bio-chemical, radioactive or similar agents, electromagnet weapons, discharge, explosion or use of weapons of mass destruction
- Loss/ Damage due to confiscation or detention by customs or other officials or authorities
- Sports where you are participating as a professional or for any incentive or reward

DA150 Plan
This tier of plan is available for Single Trip only. DA150 with its low pricing is a good bargain. In terms of travel inconveniences, Basic Plan offers a benefit limit of $1,000 for baggage delay (at $200 for every six hours of baggage delay). Personal accident coverage is at $100,000.
DA200 Plan
This tier is available for both Single and Annual Plan. It is a good buy for travellers who are looking for affordable pricing with decent coverage. In terms of baggage delay, the benefit limit is capped at $1,000 (at $200 for every six hours of baggage delay). Personal accident coverage is at $300,000.
DA500 Plan
DA500 is available for both Single and Annual Plan options. It provides higher medical coverage at $500,000. Baggage delay benefit limit is still capped at $1,000 (at $200 for every six hours of baggage delay) and personal accident coverage is at $500,000. This is good for travellers who wants a cheap price with a relatively decent amount of coverage.
DA1000
DA1000 is only available for annual multi-trip coverage and it provides cancellation benefit limit of $25,000, high medical coverage at $1,000,000 and bags/ belongings limit of $7,500. Baggage delay benefit limit is still capped at $1,000 (at $200 for every six hours of baggage delay) and personal accident coverage is at $500,000.
