Still holding onto your CDC vouchers and not sure where to spend them? Maybe our compilation of CDC-approved vendors can give you some inspiration.

This year’s budget had in store a little, but yet delightful surprise for many Singaporeans, having announced a wave of S$100 CDC vouchers that will be freely distributed to Singaporeans starting from 11 May 2022. In fact, The Straits Times reported that almost 50% of the vouchers distributed last year were spent solely on food and drinks, highlighting just how deep our love for food goes.

On top of that, the S$6.6 billion Assurance Package expects an additional two tranches of vouchers to be issued in 2023 and 2024.

Given out in denominations of S$2, S$5, and S$10, these vouchers may be redeemed either physically or electronically. Their smaller monetary values make it easier for smaller purchases within neighbourhoods. For example, you can redeem an ice cream for S$2 at your local 7/11 seamlessly.

All of this has been a timely relief given the rising costs of living for Singaporean households, especially for lower-income households.

With all this excitement surrounding CDC vouchers, there are two types of households — those that have already eagerly spent it and those that are still contemplating their options. If you fall into the latter, don’t stress. Our compiled list of CDC places and businesses below is sure to give you some inspiration.

How to claim CDC vouchers?

In the meantime, if you haven’t claimed your first batch of vouchers, here’s how to do it.

Eligibility

Source: Community Development Council

Every Singaporean household is eligible for these vouchers.

Also, it is imperative to note that this wave of vouchers will use an entirely separate link from 2021’s CDC vouchers. If you have yet to redeem either 2022’s or 2021’s wave of vouchers, you can easily redeem them here (You will need a valid Singpass account to redeem these vouchers).

This link is meant to be shared with members of your household (members sharing the same address as you). You can easily share it through available communication channels such as SMS, WhatsApp or Telegram.

How to redeem CDC vouchers?

Source: Community Development Council

Once you have redeemed your vouchers, you will be given a unique link that is meant to be shared with members of your household. When this link is accessed, you’ll be led to an intuitive interface where you can simply tap the amount you’d like to spend (the vouchers come in denominations of S$2, S$5 and S$10) and show the QR code that is presented to your desired vendor.

Do note that similar to other voucher variants, there will not be any change if your amount spent is less than the voucher’s value. In a rhetorical scenario, if you were to be charged an amount of S$9, and the only available denomination is S$10, you will not receive any monetary change. However, if you were to be charged with a bill of S$11 and you choose to redeem a S$10 voucher, you will need to top-up an additional dollar using cash.

Note: Both CDC vouchers 2021 and 2022 will expire on 31 December 2022.

Approved merchants and hawkers to spend your S$100 CDC vouchers in Singapore 2022

Eligible merchants will have this CDC decal

Before we dive into the specifics, here’s an overview of the types of participating businesses that will gladly accept your CDC vouchers:

  • Food and beverage businesses e.g. hawker centres, food courts, coffee shops, cafes, bakeries
  • Mama/provision shops, minimarts, and selected supermarkets
  • Hair salons and barber shops
  • Dental clinics and optical shops
  • Beauty parlours and spa services
  • Electronic stores and photo-printing shops
  • Pet shops
  • Florists

While these are just some broad categories, the availability of merchants and services largely depends on your locale. For a comprehensive list of participating merchants, the CDC Go Where website will be your best bet.

💡 Pro-tip: If you’re looking for a specific unit or stall, it’s probably easier to head down and identify the stall itself than trying to identify the unit number (e.g. #01-32, #01-33, etc.) through the online map. Simply walk up to the stall front and look out for the CDC voucher decal.

How to find CDC-approved merchants?

In order to locate eligible businesses within your area, there are two methods to search by: either ‘nearby’ or ‘by merchant’. Additionally, the search bar provided is extremely keyword sensitive

Enter the specific keywords either by ‘nearby’ or ‘merchant’
Source: gowhere.gov.sg

When searching nearby, this will pull up the list of merchants within the neighbourhood or postal code you have entered.

When searching by merchants, this will pull up the list of merchants matching the keyword entered.

Note: The gowhere.gov.sg search bar is extremely keyword-sensitive. Meaning to say, the merchant results featured to you will contain whatever keyword entered. Search results with the keyword only found in their addresses will not be brought up.

Examples of CDC merchant results when searching ‘Bukit Batok’ include:

  • Bukit Batok Teochew Cuisine Rest (Bukit Batok West Ave 6)
  • ITea (278 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)
  • Eatero (2 Bukit Batok St 23)
  • Durian Boy (Bukit Batok St 11)
  • Fatty Weng (273 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)
  • Baker Talent (275 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)
  • JWS Grille Factory (265 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)
  • My Thai Pot Bukit Batok 451 (Bukit Batok West Ave 6)
  • FMA (Bukit Batok West)
  • OneCare Bukit Batok (Bukit Batok Central)
  • Mission Bukit Batok Medical Clinic (Bukit Batok West Ave 5)
  • Q&M Dental Surgery (Bukit Batok West Ave 9)
  • Bukit Barkdog (Bukit Batok West Ave 6)
  • ABC Bargain Centre (Bukit Batok St 31)

As a result, it’d be best if you knew the exact name of the merchant you’re looking for. Otherwise, it might be easier to search for merchants by map for those browsing casually.
