From 3 January 2023, all Singapore households will receive another S$300 worth of Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers.
📝 Budget 2023 updates
As projected during the previous Budget 2022 talks, each Singaporean household will receive S$400 worth of CDC vouchers in two prongs: the first round of S$200 CDC vouchers in 2023 and the second round of S$200 CDC vouchers in 2024.
So that said, from January 2024 onwards, all eligible households can expect our next batch of S$200 CDC vouchers to be distributed! On top of that, there'll be an additional S$100 worth of CDC vouchers per household [see: S$1.5 billion Support Package] to look forward to in 2024 – just for good measure. 👌
This brings the total amount of CDC vouchers per household in 2023 and 2024 to be S$300 each, or S$600 across two years.
SingSaver Flash Deal: For a limited time only, snag a Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler (Complete) (worth S$859) on top of your chosen reward if you are one of the first 10 applicants of select OCBC and Standard Chartered Credit Cards at 12pm, 3pm, 6pm daily during the flash deal period. What are CDC vouchers?
CDC vouchers, or Community Development Council vouchers, are a government initiative started to alleviate the cost-of-living burdens of Singaporean households in times of inflation, recession, and rising GST.
Available in S$2, S$5, and S$10 denominations for hawkers and merchants and S$5 and S$10 denominations for supermarkets, these vouchers may be redeemed either physically or electronically.
All of this has been a timely relief given the rising living costs for Singaporean households, especially for lower-income households.
To claim your CDC voucher, please click here. Do note that they expire on 31 December 2023.
💡 Fun fact: There's a separate scheme – the GST-V scheme – catered to cushion the GST hikes from 7% to 9% in 2023 and 2024 in four areas: Essentials, MediSave (for seniors), U-Save (for utilities) and S&CC rebate.
For HDB and some private properties: In 2023, this cash payout will increase from S$500 to S$700, and subsequently S$850 in 2024.
For homes with annual values from S$13,000 to S$21,000: In 2023, this cash payout will only increase from S$250 to S$350 in 2023, and S$450 in 2024.

Who is eligible for CDC vouchers?
Every Singaporean household can look forward to claiming S$300 in CDC vouchers in 2023 and 2024 each.
How to claim CDC vouchers?
In the meantime, if you haven’t claimed your CDC vouchers, here’s how to do it.
Eligibility

Every Singaporean household is eligible for these vouchers.
You can easily redeem them here (You will need a valid Singpass account to redeem these vouchers).
This link is meant to be shared with members of your household (members sharing the same address as you). You can easily share it through available communication channels such as SMS, WhatsApp or Telegram.

How to redeem CDC vouchers?

Once you have redeemed your vouchers, you will be given a unique link that is meant to be shared with members of your household. When this link is accessed, you’ll be led to an intuitive interface to select which CDC vouchers you want to use.
Source: Community Development Council
Next, simply tap the amount you’d like to spend (the vouchers come in denominations of S$2, S$5 and S$10 for hawkers and merchants and S$5 and S$10 denominations for supermarkets) and show the QR code that is presented to your desired vendor.

Source: Community Development Council
Do note that similar to other voucher variants, there will not be any change if your amount spent is less than the voucher’s value.
In a rhetorical scenario, if you were to be charged an amount of S$9, and the only available denomination is S$10, you will not receive any monetary change. However, if you were to be charged with a bill of S$11 and you choose to redeem a S$10 voucher, you will need to top-up an additional dollar using cash.
Note: The 2023 CDC vouchers will expire on 31 December 2023.

💡 Pro-tip: If you’re looking for a specific unit or stall, it’s probably easier to head down and identify the stall itself than trying to identify the unit number (e.g. #01-32, #01-33, etc.) through the online map. Simply walk up to the stall front and look out for the CDC voucher decal.
How to find CDC-approved merchants?
In order to locate eligible businesses within your area, there are two methods to search by: either ‘nearby’ or ‘by merchant’. Additionally, the search bar provided is extremely keyword sensitive.
Enter the specific keywords either by ‘nearby’ or ‘merchant’
Source: gowhere.gov.sg
When searching nearby, this will pull up the list of merchants within the neighbourhood or postal code you have entered.
When searching by merchants, this will pull up the list of merchants matching the keyword entered.
Note: The gowhere.gov.sg search bar is extremely keyword-sensitive. Meaning to say, the merchant results featured to you will contain whatever keyword entered. Search results with the keyword only found in their addresses will not be brought up.
Examples of CDC merchant results when searching ‘Bukit Batok’ include:
- Bukit Batok Teochew Cuisine Rest (Bukit Batok West Ave 6)
- ITea (278 Bukit Batok East Ave 4)
