Pros & cons

Pros

Cons

Earn up to 10% cashback on everyday categories like groceries, dining (McDonald’s), transport (Grab, SimplyGo), and online shopping (Shopee) — if you hit spending requirements.

Quarterly cashback caps (e.g., $50, $100, or $200 depending on spending tiers), which can limit the total rewards earned, especially for high spenders.

Enjoy up to 24% savings at Shell and SPC petrol stations.

Cashback is awarded at the end of each qualifying quarter, so there’s a delay in receiving your rewards.

Access up to 50% off at participating restaurants through UOB Dining Privileges, and enjoy more than 13,000 deals on dining, shopping, travel, and more via the UOB Rewards+ platform.

After the first year, an annual fee of $196.20 applies unless waived, which may offset some of the cashback benefits if spending thresholds are not met.

Get rewarded whether you spend $500, $1,000, or $2,000 monthly, with cashback awarded quarterly based on your average spend.

Welcome offer for new cardholders of $350 cash credit upon meeting minimum spend requirements.

Who is this card for

The UOB One Credit Card is perfect for Singaporeans with steady monthly expenses on essentials like groceries, transport, dining, and online shopping. If you consistently spend at least $500 a month and can commit to hitting that for three months while making five transactions monthly, you’ll unlock up to 10% cashback at familiar places like Cold Storage, McDonald’s, Grab, and Shopee. It’s especially great for families, disciplined budgeters, and anyone who prefers straightforward savings over fussing with points or miles.

Compare to other cards

When it comes to maximising cashback, the UOB One Credit Card stands out with up to 10% cashback on everyday essentials like Cold Storage, Shopee, McDonald’s, and Grab, as long as you meet quarterly spend and transaction requirements. It also offers up to 24% fuel savings at Shell and SPC, and lets you earn higher interest rates on your savings when paired with the UOB One Account. This card is well-suited for disciplined spenders who have consistent monthly expenses and don’t mind tracking their progress across three months to unlock the full benefits.

The OCBC 365 Credit Card, on the other hand, is a strong contender for those looking for reliable cashback across a broader range of everyday categories without the complexity of quarterly tiers. It offers 6% cashback on fuel, 5% on dining (including food delivery), and 3% on groceries, transport, utilities, online travel, and recurring telco bills. With a straightforward $800 monthly spend requirement and a generous two-year annual fee waiver, it provides a good balance of flexibility and value for households or individuals with varied spending habits.

Meanwhile, the Citi Cash Back+ Card offers a flat 1.6% unlimited cashback on all eligible spending with no minimum spend or cap, making it ideal for those who prefer fuss-free rewards. There’s no need to track categories or hit specific targets—just spend and earn. Cashback doesn’t expire and can be redeemed anytime via SMS or the Citibank SG app. This card is especially useful for large one-time purchases or irregular spending patterns, and it comes with complimentary travel insurance when travel bookings are charged to the card.
