[Claims Process] The claim process was a breeze! Definitely helped with the uncertainty and nightmare of Covid. I heard my plan was pricey: worldwide annual coverage (silver) for $226.64. But the claim process and customer service were so good, will definitely purchase my annual worldwide plan from Allianz again.

Have bought this travel insurance a few times, even before COVID. Recently bought the basic plan for travel use, although the cost shown is not inclusive of COVID coverage, it can be selected as part of an add-on. The final price is still affordable. The coverage is extensive enough for a short trip. Very quick and swift to apply, also applied it through SingSaver for the additional cashback! Overall, it's very worth it.

[Claims Process]
I purchased a Travel Plus Plan for my family when we went to China for a holiday. Unfortunately my wife and daughter met with a minor accident which require some medical attention a the local hospital. Only outpatient treatment was required due to the nature of their injury. Upon returning to Singapore, I made a call to Aviva Customer Service to enquire about the claim process, and was directed to their claiming website. All I have to do was to write an account of the incident, attach the necessary receipt and medical report. I just have to wait for the reimbursement to be PayNow to my bank account.

[Purchase Process] Got the Seedly Travel Ease for a short trip to JB. Overall the user journey was straightforward. Got 10 USD Airalo credits which I used to purchase an eSIM for my trip as well. Not sure about the claims process as I had no claims but overall I would repurchase and recommend to my friends!

Airlines

You may have seen offers of travel insurance packages while booking your flight tickets. That’s because some airlines have partnerships with travel insurance companies.

Sure, it’s convenient to tick off an extra box and sign up with an airline, but it may not be the best travel insurance deal, especially compared to directly applying with an insurer. The airlines obtain part of the insurance price as commission whenever you sign up with them.

How does travel insurance coverage from airlines fare, though?
