UOB Lady’s Card & UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card Review
Updated: 1 Sept 2025
Don’t be fooled by the name, the UOB Lady’s Card is also available for men so you don’t miss out on one of the best miles cards for your favourite spend categories!

If you’re looking for a flexible rewards card tailored to women, the UOB Lady’s Cards — comprising the UOB Lady’s Card, the UOB Lady’s Solitaire, and the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Metal Card — remain a strong contender in Singapore. Their main draw is the ability to pick your preferred spending categories and earn generous miles, making them especially rewarding for those with high spend in lifestyle or travel areas.
Key highlights include:
-
Customisable bonus categories: Earn 4 mpd in one or two chosen categories (dining, travel, fashion, supermarkets, or petrol), with the option to change them every quarter.
-
Extra boost with savings multiplier: Pairing the card with the UOB Lady’s Savings Account can add up to 6 mpd more, significantly accelerating rewards potential.
-
Accessible lineup: From the entry-level Lady’s Card to the premium Solitaire Metal Card, there’s an option suited to different income levels and lifestyles.
-
First-year fee perks: Annual fees are waived in the first year, with higher-tier cards often offering bonus miles when fees are paid subsequently.
-
Lifestyle-focused flexibility: Designed with women in mind, these cards align well with common high-spend categories such as dining, shopping, and travel.
-
Caps and limitations: The Solitaire’s monthly bonus cap has been reduced to S$1,500 (with a S$750 cap per category if two are chosen), making it harder to maximise across diverse spend.
-
Still competitive, but not unrivalled: While competing cards like the Maybank XL Rewards and HSBC Revolution have caught up, disciplined spenders who can maximise the categories will continue to find strong value.

No min. spend
First-year annual fee waiver
0% interest payment plans for luxury purchase
Complimentary e-Commerce protection

Cons
Bonus 9X UNI$ and up to 15X Lady's Savings Bonus UNI$ capped at $1,500 spending per month
Only available to women
Annual income of S$120,000 required to qualify for the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card
SingSaver’s take
The UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card shines with its ability to supercharge everyday spending, offering up to 10 miles per dollar across popular categories without requiring a minimum spend. Perks like e-Commerce protection, exclusive lifestyle deals, and interest-free instalment plans add further value. However, the reduced monthly bonus cap of S$1,500 limits its full potential, and its women-only eligibility and steep S$120,000 income requirement mean it’s out of reach for many. While still a top pick for high-income women who can concentrate their spend within selected categories, cards like the Maybank XL Rewards or HSBC Revolution may offer easier ways to rack up miles with fewer restrictions.

History and evolution
The UOB Lady’s Card has been around since 1989, originally launched as Singapore’s first credit card designed exclusively for women. It started out with a simple concept: reward categories tied to traditionally female-oriented spending like fashion and beauty. Over the years, however, the card has evolved to reflect changing lifestyles, expanding its reward categories to include essentials such as dining, travel, supermarkets, and petrol.
In 2008, UOB introduced the Lady’s Solitaire Card as a premium option, offering higher caps and additional perks to cater to women with bigger spending power. Fast forward to today, and the Lady’s Cards remain women-only products—despite the growing trend of gender-neutral credit cards in Singapore. The Solitaire Metal, an invite-only tier, was later added to serve the affluent segment with benefits like airport lounge access and luxury privileges.
Through all these changes, the core appeal has stayed the same: flexibility. By letting cardholders pick and switch their preferred bonus categories each quarter, the Lady’s Cards have remained relevant for modern spending habits. What’s changed most is how the caps and perks have been fine-tuned over the years, with today’s version requiring a bit more strategising to maximise.
Things to note
-
The first year’s annual fee is waived, but subsequent years may require a waiver request via the UOB TMRW app or phone banking. Unless waived, UNI$ are typically deducted to cover the annual fee.
-
No official minimum spend requirement, but the reduced Solitaire bonus cap (S$1,500/month, S$750 per category) means you’ll need to plan spending carefully to maximise rewards.
-
You can only hold one Lady’s Card product (e.g., Lady’s or Lady’s Solitaire).
-
UNI$ are valid for 2 years from the end of the calendar quarter in which they were earned.
How much do I have to earn to qualify for a UOB Lady’s Card?
To get your hands on the UOB Lady’s Card, you’ll need to meet the minimum income requirement of S$30,000 a year if you’re Singaporean or PR, or S$40,000 if you’re a foreigner. For the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card, the bar is much higher at S$120,000, regardless of whether you’re local or a foreigner.
Unlike some banks that offer a secured option via fixed deposits, UOB does not advertise an alternative path if you don’t meet the income cut-off. In other words, you’ll need to hit the stated minimum income to qualify for either version of the Lady’s Card.

The UOB Lady’s Cards have one of the lowest base earn rates in the market at just 0.4 mpd on both local and foreign currency spend, lagging far behind general spend cards like the UOB PRVI Miles or HSBC TravelOne. However, the appeal lies in their flexibility: when you pick your preferred categories, you can earn up to 4 mpd, and with the Lady’s Savings Account multiplier, this can climb as high as 10 mpd — making them potentially far more rewarding than competitors if you spend heavily in the right areas.
Bonus opportunities
-
Customisable rewards: Choose your preferred bonus categories (e.g., travel, dining, fashion, supermarkets, petrol) each quarter to earn up to 4 mpd on eligible spend.
-
Savings account multiplier: Pair with the UOB Lady’s Savings Account to boost earnings to as high as 10 mpd, depending on your balance.
-
No minimum spend required: Bonus UNI$ are earned automatically on eligible transactions, up to the monthly cap, without pressure to meet spending thresholds.
-
Lifestyle tie-ups: From time to time, UOB runs seasonal Lady’s Privileges promotions with shopping and dining partners, offering extra rewards or savings beyond the base miles earned.

UNI$ features
-
Expiry: UNI$ earned on the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards expire 2 years from the last day of the calendar quarter in which they were earned. For example, UNI$ earned in March 2024 will expire on 31 March 2026.
-
Pooling: UNI$ are pooled across all UOB credit cards that earn UNI$, so balances from cards like PRVI Miles, Preferred Platinum Visa, or Lady’s can be consolidated for redemptions.
-
Cancellation impact: UNI$ that have already been credited remain in your pooled UNI$ account as long as you hold another UOB card that earns UNI$. However, if you cancel your Lady’s Card before new UNI$ have been credited, those pending points will be forfeited.
UNI$ conversion
-
Transfer minimum: UNI$ must be converted in blocks of 5,000 UNI$ = 10,000 miles.
-
Transfer fees: Each one-time conversion costs S$25. If you prefer automatic conversion to KrisFlyer miles, the annual fee is S$50.
-
Partners and transfer time: UNI$ can be transferred to two airline partners — Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Cathay Pacific Asia Miles. Transfers take at least 14 working days to be processed.
Excluded transaction categories
Certain spending does not earn UNI$. Exclusions include:
-
Annual fees, interest charges, late payment fees, finance charges, and other bank-imposed fees
-
Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) transactions, balance transfers, personal loans, and cash advances
-
Education-related and government payments (e.g. IRAS, town council, HDB, CPF, LTA, fines, postal services)
-
Insurance premiums and underwriting
-
Hospital and healthcare payments
-
Utilities and telco bill payments
-
Payments to charitable or religious organisations
-
Gambling and betting-related transactions
-
Prepaid card and e-wallet top-ups (e.g. GrabPay, YouTrip, Singtel Dash)
-
Fuel transactions at SPC and Shell service stations
-
Any transaction reversed, refunded, or otherwise excluded at UOB’s discretion
How UNI$ are credited
-
Credit timeframe: UNI$ are credited when the transaction posts, usually within a few working days.
-
Calculation method: UNI$ are awarded based on spend in increments of S$5, calculated per transaction, and then rounded down.
-
-
Local and FCY spend: (Transaction ÷ 5) × 1 UNI$ (base)
-
Bonus categories: earn an extra 9 UNI$ per S$5 (total 10 UNI$ per S$5, or 4 mpd)
-
With Lady’s Savings Account multiplier: up to 25 UNI$ per S$5 (10 mpd)
-
UNI$ expiry
UNI$ earned on the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards expire 2 years from the last day of the calendar quarter in which they were earned. Once converted, miles follow the partner programme’s rules (e.g. KrisFlyer miles expire after 3 years).

Other important details
-
When redeeming, UOB will deduct UNI$ that are closest to expiry first, so older points are consumed before newer ones.
-
UNI$ can be redeemed not just for frequent flyer miles but also for cash rebates (via the auto-conversion programme), instant offsets at participating merchants, and merchant vouchers, all accessible through the UOB Rewards platform.
-
Only principal cardholders with open, valid, and in-good-standing UOB Lady’s or Lady’s Solitaire Card accounts may redeem UNI$, though supplementary card spend contributes to the principal cardholder’s balance.
Points conversion
Transfer partners
UNI$ earned on the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards can be converted to just two frequent flyer programmes — Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Cathay Pacific Asia Miles. Unlike cards such as Citi PremierMiles or HSBC TravelOne, which offer a wider pool of airline and hotel partners, the Lady’s Cards are relatively limited. That said, both KrisFlyer and Asia Miles are strong programmes for Singapore-based travellers.
Transfer costs
Each one-time transfer to a partner programme costs S$25. Alternatively, cardholders can opt for the KrisFlyer auto-conversion programme, which charges S$50 per year and converts UNI$ into KrisFlyer miles in blocks of 2,500.
Minimum transfer amount
Redemptions must be made in blocks of 5,000 UNI$ = 10,000 miles. For auto-conversion, the minimum block is 2,500 UNI$ = 5,000 KrisFlyer miles, provided you maintain a UNI$ balance of at least 15,000.
Transfer time
UOB states that transfers typically take up to 14 working days to be processed. In practice, KrisFlyer transfers are usually faster, but it’s safest to allow up to two weeks before you need the miles for a redemption.
Points expiry
UNI$ earned on the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards expire two years from the last day of the calendar quarter in which they were earned. Once converted, your miles follow the partner programme’s rules — for example, KrisFlyer miles expire after three years.
Transfer issues to watch out for
The main drawback is the lack of transfer partners compared to other bank rewards programmes. With only KrisFlyer and Asia Miles available, you don’t get the same flexibility to explore oneworld or SkyTeam carriers outside Asia Miles. There’s also no hotel transfer option, so if you’re looking for Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors, you’ll need a different card.
FCY spend
Foreign currency fees
Overseas transactions on the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards incur a 3.25% foreign currency transaction fee, plus a 1% international processing fee if the transaction is billed in SGD or USD outside Singapore. The base earn rate for overseas spend is the same as local spend — 0.4 miles per S$1 unless it falls within your chosen bonus categories.
Cost per mile for overseas transactions
At the base earn rate of 0.4 mpd, the effective cost per mile after fees is very poor — well above 3¢ per mile.
At first glance, the Lady’s Cards may seem unattractive for general overseas spending. However, if your overseas purchases fall into one of your chosen bonus categories (e.g., dining or travel), you’ll earn 4 mpd, and potentially up to 10 mpd with the Lady’s Savings Account multiplier. In those cases, even with fees factored in, the effective cost per mile becomes extremely competitive.

For UOB Lady’s Cards, the base overseas earn is weak: at 0.4 mpd, the ~8.13¢/mile effective cost is far higher than general-spend options like UOB PRVI Miles or HSBC TravelOne. The catch is that these cards aren’t meant for base spend. If your foreign transactions fall within your chosen bonus categories, the earn rate jumps to 4 mpd (and up to 10 mpd with the Lady’s Savings Account), which slashes the effective cost per mile and can beat the all-rounders.
Recommendations
If you’re planning general overseas spending, the UOB Lady’s Cards are poor earners compared to cards like th UOB PRVI Miles or HSBC TravelOne. But if your spend fits squarely within a chosen bonus category, the Lady’s Cards become some of the most powerful earners on the market, especially when paired with the Lady’s Savings Account multiplier.
Income tax payment
Income tax payment facility
UOB offers a Payment Facility that allows cardholders to charge their income tax bill to their credit card and convert it into monthly instalments. However, for the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards, income tax payments fall under excluded transactions. This means they do not earn UNI$ at all — no base miles and no bonus miles.

The UOB Payment Facility may help with cash flow by breaking your tax bill into instalments, but it does not provide any miles benefit with the Lady’s Cards. If your goal is to earn miles from tax payments, third-party services like CardUp or ipaymy paired with a higher-earning miles card remain much better options.
Other benefits
Lounge access
Unlike premium travel cards such as the DBS Altitude Visa, UOB PRVI Miles, or Citi PremierMiles, the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards do not include complimentary lounge access as a benefit. This is an important distinction: if airport lounges are a priority, you may want to pair the Lady’s Cards with a dedicated travel card that provides Priority Pass or Plaza Premium entitlements.
Priority Pass membership
The Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards do not come bundled with Priority Pass membership, and there is no option to apply for complimentary visits through these cards. Priority Pass can still be obtained independently by travellers, but any membership and lounge access fees would be borne by the cardholder directly, outside of the UOB Lady’s benefits package.
Other UOB Lady’s Cards benefits
Instead of lounge perks, the Lady’s Cards deliver lifestyle-driven features designed to appeal to women cardholders:
-
Category-based rewards: Earn up to 4 mpd on spend in categories like dining, travel, fashion, supermarkets, and petrol — with the flexibility to switch categories every quarter. Pairing with the Lady’s Savings Account can increase this to 10 mpd.
-
Lady’s Privileges Programme: Access curated deals and promotions at over 1,000 shopping, dining, and lifestyle merchants across Singapore.
-
e-Commerce protection: Online purchases are safeguarded against non-delivery or defective goods, giving extra peace of mind for frequent shoppers.
-
Interest-free instalment plans: 0% instalment options for luxury purchases, making it easier to manage big-ticket spending.
-
Insurance coverage (for Solitaire cards only): Complimentary travel insurance (when trips are charged to the card) and purchase protection across eligible transactions.
Note: These benefits are not exhaustive. Cardholders should always check the official UOB website for the most up-to-date list of perks and detailed terms and conditions.
Recurring promotions
Promotions for the Lady’s Cards tend to focus on lifestyle categories such as dining, fashion, wellness, and shopping. Under the Lady’s Privileges Programme, cardholders regularly receive access to exclusive deals across more than 1,000 merchants. These include limited-time dining discounts, retail vouchers, or bonus UNI$ for selected luxury purchases.
As with most UOB campaigns, these promotions are not evergreen and rotate throughout the year. To maximise value, cardholders should monitor the UOB promotions page and register when required, since enrolment is often necessary to unlock bonus rewards.
Overseas spending promotions
Unlike many premium travel cards, the UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards do not traditionally feature large welcome miles packages tied to overseas spend. Instead, their appeal lies in bonus earn rates from category selection and the ability to boost those earnings further with the Lady’s Savings Account multiplier.
That said, UOB occasionally rolls out seasonal overseas spending campaigns — for example, extra UNI$ on foreign transactions or shopping abroad. These are usually capped and time-limited, and terms vary depending on the partner merchants or regions featured.
Should you get the UOB Lady’s Card or the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card?
The UOB Lady’s and Lady’s Solitaire Cards are excellent options for mile chasers, offering up to 10 mpd in selected categories. The Solitaire version also comes with complimentary travel insurance, adding extra value for frequent travellers.
Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on your monthly spending. If your eligible spend regularly exceeds S$1,000 per month, the UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card offers a higher bonus cap of S$1,500, making it more suitable. If your spend tends to stay below S$1,000 per month, the UOB Lady’s Card will be sufficient.
