online shopping on single's day 1111 sale

Started by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, the first Singles’ Day Sale in 2009 started with a modest participation of only 27 merchants. In no time, the mega sale event caught the attention of the world with 11/11 sales growing exponentially each year. During a 24-hour period last year, Alibaba racked up sales of USD 25.3 billion.

Singles’ Day is back this year, and celebrating its 10th anniversary. Whether you’re actually single or not is moot: this mammoth sale has something for EVERYONE, with every online retailer jumping on the bandwagon.

You can actually pre-order goods on Tmall since 20 Oct. With a whopping 500,000 items to choose from (and that’s just one online mall), you will be spoilt for choice.

What’s more, Alibaba-owned Lazada is also hosting its first 11.11 Shopping Festival across Southeast Asia with Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam all taking part. Not to be outdone, e-commerce giants Zalora and Qoo10 are also holding their own 11.11 Singles Day deals.

Let the countdown begin, and get your credit cards ready.

Lazada

It’s raining discount vouchers now in Lazada. From electronics to clothes and cosmetics, grab them daily every 9am and 6pm from now until 11/11. Hurry before your desired vouchers are gone.

You can also start filling up your shopping carts NOW. Many popular brands such as Acer, Braun, Converse and  Dyson have already started advertising their merchandise along with the discounts you can get.

Not only can you shop with local merchants, explore other irresistible offers from Lazada’s Global Collection plus you get free shipping!

Singles’ Day is also a great chance for you to get some e-savings on Grab, Spotify, Prepaid Mobile Top Ups, Google Play and Cathay Cineplexes on Lazada’s Entertainment Top Up eStore.

Zalora

Thinking of a wardrobe revamp?  Singles’ Day might just be the best day to stock up on clothes, shoes, handbags, sportswear and cosmetics. With many top brands such as Mango, Abercrombie & Fitch, Melissa and Birkenstock offering ‘mouth watering’ discounts, you will be spoilt for choice.

Zalora has already started offering early birds discounts. Look out for the ‘Triple Flash Sales Deals’ and start piling up your shopping cart beforehand. If you’re new to Zalora, subscribe to their newsletter to get a welcome voucher of $15.

Qoo10

Not to be outdone, Qoo10 also has an incredible line-up of items for sale even before 11.11.2018. Start shopping at the ‘11.11 Mega Brand Mall’ and enjoy discounts on electronic goods, food vouchers, clothes, household items, toiletries and more.

If you hold credit cards issued by banks such as Standard Chartered, Citibank, UOB, HSBC, Maybank, DBS, BOC and American Express, start claiming your discount coupons now. For example, Citibank credit card holders can save $10 with a minimum spend of $40 in their shopping cart. This is on top of the discounts you already get from the various participating merchants.

Keep your eyes peeled for the ‘11.11 Ultimate Free Giveaways’ which starts when the clock strikes midnight on Sunday. You can grab freebies such as Neutrogena Sunblock, assorted Pokka Bottle Drink and Dettol hand sanitizers.
