The welcome gifts from signing up with these credit cards give you way more value in return, regardless of conditions.

While welcome offers are there to entice customers to apply for a credit card, there are some cards that reward new customers with gifts valued higher upfront.

But let's get real: one cannot decide on a credit card simply for the gift. There are also other factors to consider, like the fine print banks sneakily put in their welcome offers.

There may be a minimum spend requirement within the first few months of card approval, just like the Citibank SMRT Platinum Visa Card. Other conditions could include the need to sign up for additional cards, payment of the full annual fee upfront, or even signing up and getting the card approved by a certain date. Most cards also only provide the welcome benefits if you are purchasing a product with the bank for the first time.

Still, if you're the sort who likes collecting credit cards (whilst being financially responsible!), you might want to take a look at the best credit card welcome offers. These are only valid until promotions end.

The Fine Print:

Exclusive to SingSaver.com.sg, the S$50 Citi rebate is valid from 23 September 2015 to 31 October 2015. Our Evaluation:

It is a very good deal as you get a chance to save S$240.60 by fulfilling the conditions above. The Citibank DIVIDEND Credit Card is one of the best cashback cards in the market today, providing some of the best deals.

For example, Citibank now gives 8% cashback in the categories of dining, petrol and groceries. Although this is subject to a minimum spend of S$888 per month and have a maximum cap of S$25 per category per month, it’s still one of the most rewarding cashback cards in the market.
