Every spending situation is unique. SingSaver assembles the 'Best For' list, so you can decide what’s best for you.

The March schools holidays are just round the corner. If your children aren’t the type to sit quietly and keep to themselves, you’re probably dreading the thought of having them at home for the entire week. That goes double for those of you still fighting off cabin fever from enforced work-from-home.

Why not send your kids for an enrichment class or two? They’ll learn new and useful skills, get to make some new friends, and who knows, maybe even discover a passion that could spark off a lifelong career.

Lasting from half a day to several, these nine enrichment workshops from sports camps to coding, gemstones, entrepreneurship and public speaking are perfect for restless schoolkids missing their mates.

Getting more bang for your buck on enrichment classes

Try a group buy

If your neighbours or social circle have school-going children, gather everyone up and try for a group sign-up. You may qualify for a group discount which lowers the fees for everyone.

Check with your child’s school

Some workshop providers have partnerships with schools, extending a preferential price for their students. It may be worthwhile to check with the school your children are attending if any such tie-ups are available.

Take advantage of early-bird and referral discounts

If your child has expressed an interest to attend more of a previous workshop, be sure to book early for the next round to enjoy early bird discounts. The same goes for referral bonuses - ask if any apply if your child brings a friend or two for a future workshop.

Provide your own materials

Certain workshops require specific materials or items, such as paints and brushes, or a musical instrument. While some courses may bundle these items in the course fee, you could be paying an inflated price. Check to see if your child can bring their own materials in exchange for a lower workshop fee.
