Besides 15,000 bonus miles, the DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card spoils you with premium travel rewards and an ultra-fast overseas earn rate.

Credit card promotions, terms, and conditions valid as of 13 December 2016.

Plastic is truly fantastic when it comes to travel. Besides the convenience of booking trips online, the right credit card gives you miles for every dollar you spend in Singapore and overseas. Collect enough miles, and you can score an upgrade or a free flight!

So if you must use only one credit card, use one that rewards you with miles like the DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card. This is how good it can get: you earn 1.2 miles for every S$1 you spend in Singapore. And if you apply online before 31 December 2016, you get 15,000 bonus miles when you spend at least S$1,000 on your card per month for the first two months.

Put it this way: 15,000 miles is enough for a one-way ticket to Bali from Singapore!

Still not convinced? Here are three reasons that show why the DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card deserves space in your wallet.

1. Earn 3 Miles For Every S$1 Spent Booking Trips Online

To fuel your wanderlust, this credit card gives you 3 miles for every S$1 spent booking your trips online with its travel partners. Currently, that includes Agoda, Airbnb, Expedia, and Singapore Airlines.

Compared to other air miles credit cards in the market, this is the only one that rewards you for booking trips with low-cost carriers and staying in strangers’ apartments. So whether you’re backpacking or going on your honeymoon, you’ll have an air miles collection every friend would be jealous of.

Do note that this accelerated earn rate is capped at S$5,000 per month. This means you can only earn up to 15,000 miles each month through making online travel bookings.

2. Earn Triple the Miles When You Spend Overseas

Most credit cards offer 2 miles for every S$1 spent abroad. To earn anything more than this, you’d need to own a top-of-the-line credit card and have a 6-figure annual salary to qualify for one.

This holiday season, however, the DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card lets you live like a high flyer by offering 3 miles for every S$1 you spend at stores overseas. To enjoy this rate, simply register for the promotion and make sure you spend at least S$2,500 on your card each month. This isn’t a permanent feature of the card, so you have until 28 February 2017 to get ahead of the miles game.

Do note you can only earn a maximum of 2,000 miles per calendar month. So if you’re trying to chase miles, there’s no point in spending more than S$666 per month overseas. Thank the credit card gods for capping the miles, because it’s incredibly tempting to overstretch yourself trying to accumulate premium rewards.

3. Get Spoilt By VIP Travel Privileges

The average travel credit card doesn't exactly roll out a red carpet for you. To get a card that gives you VIP treatment, you typically have to earn S$80,000 a year or more.

The DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card, however, spoils you with travel privileges you never thought you’d be able to access. For starters, you get two complimentary visits to Priority Pass airport lounges per year. Simply apply for the Priority Pass membership the moment you get your card and claim your free access as soon as you receive it.

Need help planning your trip? This credit card comes with a Butler Service - your own personal travel concierge that you can contact anytime, from any place in the world. Whether it's organising an airport transfer service to dinner recommendations, the Butler Service makes trip planning a lot less stressful. Simply call 1800 732 1000 to get started.

And if you charge your entire travel fare to the DBS Altitude Card, you get travel accident insurance coverage for up to S$1 million.
